NIKE TO SELL NHL JERSEYS

U.S.-based Nike will be selling jerseys next season bearing the colors of four National Hockey League clubs. The four teams are the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, California, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Detroit Red Wings and the Philadelphia Flyers. The team jerseys will be promoted with TV advertising. In Canada, Nike hasn't decided yet if the company will use U.S. creative from Wieden & Kennedy of Portland, Oregon or if the commercials will be done by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal. Harrison, Young Pesonen & Newell handles media buying for Nike in Canada.
