CLOROX TAPS DDB

DDB Needham Worldwide is picking up some Clorox business in mid-April. U.S.-based Clorox has shifted its bleach and home-cleaning advertising from Foote, Cone & Belding's San Francisco office to DDB Needham in New York. In Canada DDB's Toronto office will handle media planning and buying. Creative will come out of the U.S. The entire Canadian Clorox media buying account is currently with Young & Rubicam of Toronto. Y&R will continue to handle media buying for products such as Combat and Black Flag pesticides, Kingsford grill products, Brita water filters and Liquid Plumber. Y&R's San Francisco office handles U.S. media planning and buying and North American creative for these products. The bleach and cleanser account switch was made because rival S.C. Johnson & Son consolidated its worldwide business last month with FCB's Chicago office.
