Asahi Canada hires Horizon Media

Beer company Asahi Canada has retained Horizon Media Canada of Toronto to handle its media work. The assignment represents an expansion of the agency’s work for the brand, as Asahi Beer USA hired the firm last year. Horizon will develop media strategy for the company’s Asahi Super Dry and Peroni Nastro product lines, which will include connected television, online video, social media, out-of-home and cinema advertising.

“With the trend toward premiumization, we have a meaningful opportunity to build stronger connections between our brands and Canadian consumers,” said Joy Ghosh, head of marketing at Asahi Canada. “Horizon Media Canada has already demonstrated a strong understanding of our business through its work with Asahi Beer USA, and that made the agency a natural partner as we looked to strengthen our media approach in Canada.
