CASA Mental Health conducts toy campaign

CASA Mental Health of Edmonton has begun a campaign called “Toy Support Group” to raise awareness of its specialized services for children. Developed by FKA of Edmonton, the campaign includes a 30-second commercial in which a collection of toys in a child’s bedroom discuss their concerns about the child’s mental health. The public service campaign is running on television and social media in Edmonton and Calgary.
“When a child is dealing with mental illness, parents and families often feel powerless to help,” said Jeff McLean, creative director at FKA. “By using toys as stand-ins for caregivers, we were able to express that emotion in a way that felt familiar and understated, while showing that expert care, like CASA provides, can make a real difference.”
