Scotiabank debuts updated Gold American Express card

Scotiabank has re-launched its Scotiabank Gold American Express card with an additional focus on the company’s Scotia Rewards loyalty program. The initiative is intended to present the card as offering the highest point earning rate for groceries, dining and entertainment compared to its competition. The program also highlights the flexibility of the loyalty program and the absence of foreign transaction fees for users of the card.

The new program offers five times the previous amount of reward points for eligible purchases in the dining, grocery and entertainment categories, as well as three times the amount for eligible transit, gasoline and streaming service purchases.

“This is a bold step forward for Scotiabank and our customers are noticing,” said Anya Schnoor, executive vice-president of retail products at Scotiabank. “With the changes we've made to our Scotiabank Gold American Express card, we're making a strong statement that we want to be the number one card in our customers' wallets. Scotiabank is committed to offering our customers leading solutions that deliver exceptional value and rewards for banking with us.”
