Mint Agency gains two accounts

The Mint Agency of Toronto has recently gained two new accounts. The firm has been appointed agency of record for kitchen appliance maker Vitamix. This is the first time the company has retained a Canadian AOR. Mint won the assignment in a competitive process. It includes public relations, digital communications, social media activities, media buying and design work.

"Mint came to the table with an integrated campaign that seamlessly wove together public relations, social and digital media and retail under a creative concept that really got the Vitamix brand and our audience," said Scott Tennant, director of public relations at Vitamix.

Coffee maker brand Nespresso has retained Mint as its Canadian agency of record. Mint won this account in an eight-month request-for-proposals process. The assignment includes public relations and event management.

"It has been an honour and pleasure to work alongside the Nespresso team these past four plus years," said Samantha Margolis Fogle, president of The Mint Agency. "We're thrilled to be brought on as their AOR and look forward to more innovative work in the years ahead. Our company is continuing to evolve to meet and beat industry and client needs. Our service offering reflects the emerging call from companies to host full service needs under one roof."

In related news, Mint has appointed Lindy Frank DeFazio to the position of vice-president of strategy. She was most recently a senior account director at Kwittken. Prior to that, she was a vice-president and creative director at Weber Shandwick.
