New group chief executive at Aimia

Montreal-based loyalty program operator Aimia has appointed David Johnston to the position of group chief executive following the retirement of Rupert Duchesne. Johnston has been interim group chief executive since Duchesne took a medical leave-of-absence four months ago. Duchesne has also resigned his seat on the company's board of directors. Johnston joined Aimia in 2010 and became group chief operating officer in 2013.
