Aimia sells stake in AirAsia loyalty program

Aimia of Toronto has compled the sale of its 20% equity stake in BigLife, the loyalty program of Malaysian airline AirAsia. Aimia sold its stake for 85,864,583 new publicly-traded ordinary shares of AirAsia valued at $22.2 million. Including AirAsia shares previously purchased by the company, Aimia now owns a total of 121,474,409 shares representing approximately 3.1% of AirAsia.
