Canadian Women's Foundation conducts Girl Powered campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Women's Foundation has begun an out-of-home advertising campaign called "Girl Powered" intended to promote self-esteem and confidence in girls. The campaign, developed by Havas Canada, will run on approximately 80 digital displays in 20 markets until the end of the month. The media space is being provided by Pattison Outdoor Advertising. The initiative also includes a website at <http://www.girlpowered.ca>.
"Our goal for this campaign was to have as many Canadian girls as possible see these messages of strength and hope," said Cory Eisentraut, creative director at Havas Canada. "We weren't exploiting female empowerment to try and sell a product like cereal or beauty products. We simply set out to give these incredible girls an enormous voice."
