Kayak conducts lunch promotion with UberEats

Travel search engine Kayak conducted a promotion today in collaboration with UberEats. Based on research that indicated many consumers research their travel plans at work, the company developed a promotion that would deliver 500 free lunches to consumers working in Toronto, to give them more time for travel planning. The dishes were intended to reflect the 10 destinations most searched for during the lunch hour: London, Vancouver, Toronto, Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Calgary.

"For many, the boundaries between work time and personal time are indistinguishable so planning a vacation during work and working from your vacation are becoming commonplace," said David Solomito, head of North American brand marketing at Kayak. "For anyone that needs to use their lunch hour for vacation planning, Kayak is a great resource. We do the heavy lift for you by searching hundreds of sites at once so you can make a decision and check one more thing off your to-do list."
