Vans hires Bicom Communications

Footwear and apparel company Vans, based in Cypress, CA, has retained Bicom Communications of Toronto as its public relations agency of record for Canada. The assignment also includes media relations, influencer relations and new product launch events. The agency will also participate in promotions tied to the 50th anniversary of the brand this year.
"Vans is an iconic brand and Bicom is honoured to have been chosen to work with them for their PR initiatives as they celebrate their 50th anniversary," said Vicky Boudreau, partner at Bicom Communications. "Focusing on Vans' four pillars [of] music, art, action sports and street culture, Bicom will create strategies to incorporate traditional media, influencers and the public into this country-wide celebration."
