Scotiabank signs endorsement deal with P.K. Subban

Scotiabank has signed an endorsement agreement with professional hockey player P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens. As a 'community hockey ambassador' for the company, Subban will participate in a series of initiatives. He will be featured in a hockey documentary series called Portraits of the 5th Season that will air on Sportsnet beginning Oct. 7. He will appear at several hockey-themed events for Scotiabank customers and contribute to its social media channels. He will also support the company's local hockey team sponsorship program.
"We believe it's important to build teamwork and camaraderie in sport and community," said Clinton Braganza, senior vice-president of Canadian marketing at Scotiabank. "Hockey is a shared passion for our customers and employees and it's an important part of our community and sponsorship strategy. With P.K. as our new community hockey ambassador, we have someone who embodies those same values, and understands the importance of Canada's unofficial fifth season, the hockey season, has on our lives."
