McDonald's debuts new brand initiative

McDonald's Canada has begun a new brand initiative intended to "deepen its guest experience," according to the company. The fast food chain has debuted its new concept at a location at Victoria Park and St. Clair in Toronto. It will roll out to approximately 1,000 of the company's Canadian restaurants by the end of 2017. The redesigned restaurant incorporates a new menu with which consumers can customize a hamburger with approximately 30 options. Participating locations will also feature self-order kiosks. The new concept also includes table delivery of orders and new staff uniforms.

"We are kicking off a bold plan to transform what guests experience when they visit McDonald's restaurants across Canada," said John Betts, president and CEO of McDonald's Canada. "We want our guests to walk in and be wowed by an experience that's modern and personalized, but still the McDonald's they know and love. We always listen to our guests, and this ambitious plan is exactly what they've asked us to do. We're innovating and evolving for the future, and we're excited to bring our guests along on this journey with us."
