Coca-Cola Canada readies Share a Coke promotion

Coca-Cola Canada will bring the company's "Share a Coke" initiative to this country this month. The program has previously operated in Britain, Australia and other countries. During the campaign, the logo on Coca-Cola packaging will be altered to include names that are popular in Canada, as well as colloquial terms such as "Friends," Family" and "Love." Consumers will be encouraged to find the names of people they know and sharing the product. The effort also includes a website at <http://www.shareacoke.ca> where visitors can see a list of available names and create a personalized virtual bottle of Coca-Cola. The company will also have a presence at 76 events nationally through the summer, where consumers can create a customized miniature can and participate in various games and activities. The campaign will also include social media support.
