Toronto Port Authority hires Intercept Group

The Toronto Port Authority has retained Intercept Group of Toronto for a second year as agency of record for its annual Sail-In Cinema event. From Aug. 14 to 16, the authority will display a series of movies on a large screen on Lake Ontario, where they can be watched by viewers on boats or on land at the city's Sugar Beach. The free event is expected to attract approximately 6,500 consumers. Intercept Group will oversee production of the event as well as the search for sponsors. Past sponsors have included Toyota, Keurig, Pop Chips, Porter, Air Canada, Toronto Star and Red Path Sugar.

"In just three years, Sail-In Cinema has become a highly anticipated, award-winning event that saw a record-breaking 350 percent increase in attendance last year," said Geoff Wilson, president and CEO of the Toronto Port Authority. "The Toronto Port Authority is pleased to once again invite families, movie lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to experience Toronto's waterfront through this free, one-of-a-kind event."
