Air Canada opens Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt

Air Canada of Montreal has opened a new International Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt Airport in the German city of Frankfurt. The lounge, located in the departures area of Terminal One, is accessible to eligible Air Canada and Star Alliance loyalty program members prior to boarding their flights. It was designed by Toronto-based Dialogue 38 and features works by Canadian artists, six reclining pods with satellite television screens and noise-cancelling headphones, a shower, a business centre, wireless Internet access and a dining area.
"We are thrilled to welcome Air Canada and Star Alliance eligible customers to our new Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt," said Craig Landry, the airline's marketing vice-president. "Our newest International Maple Leaf Lounge was created as an extension of the overall travel experience for our Executive First customers. Showcasing contemporary Canadian design, artwork and the majestic natural beauty of Canada, customers will enjoy a calm and inspiring environment in which to work or relax before their Air Canada or connecting Star Alliance flight."
