WPP launches Geometry Global

WPP has launched a new activation agency called Geometry Global comprising G2, OgilvyAction and JWTAction. According to the company, Geometry Global will be an autonomous network within WPP with offices in London and New York. G2 is the activation unit of Grey Group, while OgilvyAction is the activation division of Ogilvy & Mather and JWTAction is the shopper marketing and experiential agency of JWT. JWTAction is a joint venture between JWT and OgilvyAction in the United States and will retain its autonomy within Geometry Global. The new entity will focus on consumer activation, trade marketing, shopper marketing, one-to-one marketing and digital activation. It will operate in 56 markets. Geometry Global will be headed by chairman Toby Hoare. He will also remain CEO of JWT Europe and chairman of JWT London. Steve Harding, formerly CEO of OgilvyAction, will be CEO of Geometry Global. Matthew Schetlick, formerly the COO and CFO of G2, will be the COO and CFO of Geometry Global. "The global context adds another dimension as marketers and retailers alike look to capitalize on consumer spending in fast growing markets," said Harding. "Geometry Global combines all these together under one roof in more places around the world than any other network of its kind."
