Corus Entertainment promotes one, adds one

Corus Entertainment of Toronto has appointed Maria Hale to the newly created position of television vice-president and head of digital and content distribution. She will oversee a new group that will combine domestic digital and interactive activities with affiliate relations. Hale was previously head of programming and production. John MacDonald has been appointed to the position of television vice-president and head of programming and production. He was most recently chief operating officer and executive vice-president of programming for the Oprah Winfrey Network. Prior to that, he was senior vice-president of content programming and strategy at MTV Networks.
