Website roundup

A new Halifax-based Web publication called Filly.ca has launched, aimed at women in their 20s and 30s in Atlantic Canada. The site, which will be updated daily, contains articles and columns on relationships, health, beauty, fashion and entertainment, with a particular focus on local events, resources and people. The site is edited by Johneen Manning, previously of IT Interactive Services. “With a sassy look and a hip, young audience, Filly.ca has an exciting, buoyant and fresh take on matters close to women's hearts in Halifax," said Manning. “As Halifax's first and only women's website, we will cover local styles, designers, products, hotspots and pick the brains of experts from Atlantic Canada.”

Toronto-based CHUM Limited has re-launched its FashionTelevision.com website as a broadband video-oriented site. The new site is divided into five channels: Models, Designers, Photography, World of Design and News. Each section offers Web-exclusive video content and material from the television series. “We are focused on making FashionTelevision.com the premiere online fashion destination for the fashion forward community and advertisers who love them,” said Maria Hale, vice-president of content business development at CHUM Television. “By the end of the year the site will also feature behind the scenes information with blogs, newsletters, photo galleries and more.” The site’s new video components were developed by The FeedRoom.
