Mobilicity conducts Break Free campaign

Toronto-based mobile communications company Mobilicity released a new television commercial yesterday. The ads is part of the company's national "Break Free" media campaign. The 30-second commercial was produced several days ago and features testimonials from customers who switched to Mobilicity last year during the company's "National Break Your Wireless Contract Day" promotion. "When we heard these customers talk about how we helped change their lives, we knew we had to share their stories with Canadians across the country," said Mobilicity marketing director Andrea Fiederer. "It's incredibly gratifying to know we're not just selling mobile phones and unlimited plans. We're helping people go on vacation, pay rent and save for their children's education with all the money they save with Mobilicity. That's pretty powerful." The one-week campaign also includes out-of-home, print, radio, experiential and online advertising, as well as social media activities. The creative uses the visual theme of broken chains and directs consumers to a website at <http://wwwbreakyourcontract.ca>. The TV commercial is airing on CTV, Global, CP24, TSN and Sportsnet. Print ads are running in Metro, 24 Hours and the Toronto Sun. The campaign was developed by Cairns O'Neil Strategic Media, Hooplah, Normative, Arnold Worldwide Canada, Simon Pure Marketing and Gardner Productions.
