Website roundup

Montreal-based Médiasdiversité has launched a new website at <http://www.mediasdiversite.ca>. The site is aimed at people from ethnocultural and Aboriginal communities in Quebec, as well as people with disabilities. The site offers a range of content for Quebecers interested in the media industry, including a job board, interviews and videos, as well as articles about occupations in the industry. The site also provides advice for creators who want to improve their chances of having their artistic projects supported by broadcasters. The site is a joint effort of Astral Media and Groupe TVA. "After successfully organizing five annual editions of the Médiasdiversité event, the time had come to renew and update the project's format," said Véronique Mercier, director of communications at Groupe TVA. "The creation of a new portal reflects Groupe TVA's commitment to encourage the presence of cultural communities within its workforce, both on screen and behind the camera."
