Old Dutch resumes Net a Million contest

Old Dutch Foods is conducting a contest promotion ties to the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup Canadian Hockey League tournament. The contest, called "Net a Million," will involve three competitors participating in an on-ice shootout during the second intermission of the final game on May 29. The first contestant will attempt to score 16 goals out of 20 shots from the closest blue line in 20 seconds for a prize of $100,000. The second player will attempt to score 16 goals out of 20 from centre ice in 22 seconds for $250,000. The final contestant will attempt to score 16 goals out of 20 from the far blue line in 24 seconds for one million dollars. Each contestant will receive $500 for each goal scored short of 16, as well as a $5,000 gift card from The Brick. "We're thrilled to be able to offer this contest for hockey fans all over Canada as a part of our incredible partnership with the CHL," said Scott Kelemen, national director of marketing for Old Dutch Foods. "Anyone who saw the Net a Million shootout last year will remember the unbelievable excitement around the event."
