RANSCOMBE CATCHES SPORTMEN'S SHOW
By Adnews Staff
Ranscombe & Co. of Toronto is sporting a new client. The agency was given the business for the Toronto installation of the Canadian National Sportsmen's Shows. The two shows are the Toronto Ski and Snowboard Show and the Toronto Sportsmen's Show. Ranscombe was handed the account in a review with four other agencies because "we liked what they did with the Ontario Jockey Club and the Royal Ontario Museum," Canadian National marketing coordinator Terry Caddo told Adnews yesterday. Other short listed agencies were: Piccadilly Communications, BAM Creative, Fireworks Creative Inc. and The Radio Store, all of Toronto. The job was being handled in-house, but Canadian National decided it needed outside help, Caddo said. The Ski and Snowboard show runs from Oct. 17 to 20. Advertising for the show begins next week using print, radio, outdoor and posters. The Sportsmen's show runs from March 7 to 16, 1997. Advertising for this show begins in November.
