Rogers Communications hires Rosetta

Toronto-based Rogers Communications has retained Rosetta of Princeton, NJ as its interactive and direct marketing agency of record. Rosetta won the account in a competitive review involving an unknown number of firms. The multi-year assignment consists of consumer and business-to-business direct and interactive marketing services for Rogers-branded consumer and business services including wireless, home phone, television and Internet products. Rosetta will open a Toronto office in February to service the account. "We were attracted to Rosetta's strategic approach to direct and interactive marketing, particularly the way they translate deep insights into more effective personalized marketing across both the direct and interactive channels," said Shelagh Stoneham, vice-president of brand and marketing communications at Rogers. "Rosetta's experience in helping major telecommunications companies leverage interactive marketing channels and its proprietary approach to segmentation factored heavily in our decision. Rosetta’s commitment to the Canadian market also was a plus." The account was previously held by Wunderman Toronto.
