YMCA Canada begins Strong Kids campaign

YMCA Canada has signed a multi-year agreement with Corus Entertainment to promote its Strong Kids program. Corus will provide the YMCA with $600,000 worth of media exposure on its radio and television properties. Beginning today, the organization will conduct an annual fundraising campaign on Corus specialty channels YTV, CMT and W Network. The campaign includes 15- and 30-second television commercials that will run until the end of March. "By harnessing the full strength of our media assets to reach kids and their families, Corus Entertainment can play an important role in encouraging families to make healthy, active living a part of their daily lives," said Paul Robertson, president of television at Corus. "Together with the YMCA, our intent is to ensure that through the YMCA Strong Kids campaign, every child has access to programs that will result in a healthier Canada for future generations."
