LG Electronics Canada has signed a four-year agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to become the exclusive consumer electronics sponsor of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Marlies. LG will use the sponsorship to promote its line of television sets, home appliances, mobile phones and notebook computers. The Air Canada Centre arena will be outfitted with approximately 700 LG televisions. Two LG kiosks will be installed in the venue. In addition, a product display area called the LG Experience Zone will be placed at Gate One of the arena. The sponsorship also includes signage rights and on-camera exposure for the brand. "MLSE's commitment to winning and excellence is a perfect match for our HD technology," said Eric Agius, COO at LG Canada. "Air Canada Centre is always a great place to watch a game and by being MLSE's exclusive consumer electronics partner, LG Canada will help to ensure that Air Canada Centre is now, more than ever, an entertainment destination beyond compare."
