PepsiCo Canada begins video game tour

PepsiCo Canada has begun a contest promotion for its Amp beverage involving an event called the Amp Your Game National Gaming Tour. The tour will include visits to 40 college campuses nationally. Each stop will consist of video game demonstrations and a Rock Band competition. The winning performance at each stop will be posted to a Facebook page for public voting. The top four performances will compete in a final round at the end of the tour for a grad prize of $100,000. "Amp Energy is dialed-in to the gaming world and this year's Amp Your Game is all about Rock Band," said Cheryl Radisa, marketing vice-president for Pepsi-Cola brands at PepsiCo Canada.  "We're looking for the nation's top virtual Rock Band to battle hard to win a hundred thousand dollars, one of the biggest prizes in Canadian gaming." The tour will run from Feb. 23 to April 23.
