CTVglobemedia has redesigned the DiscoveryChannel.ca website. The new site includes video of full episodes of approximately 30 programs shown on the channel, in addition to online-only videos, television listings and other information. The site also has a new visual style intended to be cleaner and easier to use. "This is a significant re-launch for the site," said Ken MacDonald, vice-president of programming at Discovery Channel. "The new DiscoveryChannel.ca will now, more than ever, integrate our interactive platforms with our core business, and will also reflect a new on-air design coming soon." Similar modifications are planned for related properties including Discovery HD, Animal Planet, Discovery Civilization and Travel & Escape.
