Outdoor Canada, WFN form promotional agreement

Outdoor Canada magazine and specialty television channel World Fishing Network have formed an agreement that will include television, print and online marketing activities. The two media outlets will use the agreement to cross-promote, share content share and conduct joint contests. They will also package together their TV, print and online media assets. WFN personalities will be featured in Outdoor Canada, while the magazine's editors and contributors will appear on TV and online with WFN. Thirty-second commercials for Outdoor Canada will air on WFN, while the channel will receive full-page ads in the magazine. "The partnership between WFN and Outdoor Canada gives the two largest national outdoor media outlets in this country a combined voice in a number of strategic areas," said Christopher Doyle, marketing vice-president at Insight Sports, owner of WFN. "What's most exciting is our ability to be able to deliver content and advertising across multiple platforms together. Together, we've created an enticing national offering for advertisers looking to reach the lucrative outdoor market." Outdoor Canada is published by Transcontinental Media.
