Kellogg Canada readies Share a Square campaign
By Adnews Staff
Kellogg Canada of Toronto will begin a national campaign called "Share a Square" this fall to promote the 80th anniversary of its Rice Krispies cereal brand. The campaign will encourage parents and children to conduct bake sales and donate the proceeds to charity. Beginning Sept. 13, groups of promotional workers will demonstrate the concept at participating Wal-Mart stores. Participants can also download a collection of bake sale materials from a website at <http://www.shareasquare.ca>, including posters, sales trackers, recipes and invitations. A public relations campaign will also be conducted by Apex Public Relations of Toronto. "Rice Krispies Share a Square will allow parents to create nurturing moments with their children through the simple yet rewarding act of holding a bake sale and directing the bake sale's proceeds to a charity of their choice," said Alan Gravely, marketing vice-resident at Kellogg Canada.
