BABY'S OWN BRAND GETS NEW OWNER

U.S.-based Block Drug Company has bought the Baby's Own line of over-the-counter baby care products. The brand was owned by three companies: Nadiscorp Ltd. and Dannorth Ltd., both of Toronto and Associated Brands in the U.S. Currently Block's U.S. agencies are: Grey Advertising and CDA, both of New York, and the Buntin Group of Nashville. In Canada, it uses Enterprise Advertising of Toronto. Block has decided Enterprise will create Canadian advertising for the brand, but hasn't decided yet if it will hire a new agency for U.S. advertising, or use one of its roster agencies. The Baby's Own line is sold in North America. It includes soap, teething gel and gripe water. Block's other products include Lava bar soap, Nature's Remedy laxative, Parodontax oral hygiene products and Carpet Fresh carpet fresheners.
