Go Auto breaks new campaign

Edmonton-based automotive dealership chain Go Auto has begun a campaign featuring fitness personalities Joanne McLeod and Hal Johnson of the television series BodyBreak, as well as hockey player Connor McDavid. According to the company, the promotion is intended to highlight the company’s commitment to value and for Canadian car buyers. The campaign, developed by Round, seeks to depict how the customer experience with GoAuto can be enjoyable. It consists of a 30-second television commercial in whch McDavid is trained by McLeod and Johnson to sell cars. This is accompanied by two 15-second commercials featuring McLeod and Johnson. The ads will also run online.

“Our ‘Let’s Go’ campaign is helping others to get to know Go Auto and understand how they can benefit from becoming one of our valued customers,” said Duncan Cochrane, vice-president of marketing at GoAuto. “In this latest evolution of the campaign we chose to partner with three Canadian icons to help reinforce our commitment to making the car buying and service experience painless and fun. What better way to do that than putting two different generations of famous Canadians together to help us sell and service vehicles? Connor is considered the best hockey player in the world by many, while Hal and Joanne are loved for their regular BodyBreak appearances on television for decades.”
