New chair, president at Edelman Canada

Edelman Canada of Toronto has promoted John Clinton to the position of chair and North American head of creative and content. He will also remain chief executive officer of the company. Clinton joined the agency as CEO in 2011. Prior to that, he operated his own firm called Clinton and Company Advisors. Before that, he was senior vice-president for digital solutions and new media at Transcontinental. Clinton has also been president and CEO of Grey Canada, Canadian chairman of JWT and president of Enterprise Advertising.

Lisa Kimmel has been promoted to president of Edelman Canada. She was most recently general manager of Edelman Toronto, a position she has held since 2009. Prior to that, she was a senior vice-president and national practice leader for consumer marketing at the agency. Kimmel has also been a practice manager at Cohn & Wolfe.

Scott Evans has been promoted to general manager of Edelman Toronto. He was previously co-deputy general manager and national health sector leader at the agency. Evans was also senior vice-president for health at FleishmanHillard.

Jordan Doucette has been promoted from executive creative director in Toronto to national executive creative director. She joined the agency last year from Taxi, where she was executive creative director.

Tristan Roy has been promoted from digital managing director to managing director for digital and national specialties. Roy has held a series of executive positions at Edelman since joining the firm in 2006.
