Weston Bakeries begins brain contest

Weston Bakeries has begun a promotion in association with specialty television channel Teletoon for its Wonder+ bread. The initiative takes the form of a contest called "Which Side of the Brain Are You On?" The contest promotes the Omega-3 content of the bread, which aids in brain development, according to the company. Visitors to the Teletoon.com website can participate in quizzes and games to determine whether they favour the left or right sides of their brains. Participants can also enter a draw for a prize package aimed at that side of the brain. The left brain package includes a computer with a collection of math and science software, a printer and scanner, a digital camera, a digital microscope and a label pinter. The right brain prize consists of a computer with various art and music software, a printer and scanner, a digital camera and a music keyboard. The contest is being supported with a 30-second television commercial and a 10-second sponsorship billboard. The initiative was developed by PHD Canada and Round Table Advertising.
