Larche Communications, Rogers Broadcasting to swap radio stations
By Adnews Staff
Larche Communications of Kitchener, ON has formed an agreement with Toronto-based Rogers Broadcasting by which the companies will swap ownership of two radio stations. Larche will acquire CICX FM in Orillia, ON from Rogers, while Rogers will acquire CIKZ FM of Kitchener from Larche. “This swap makes great strategic sense for our company,” said company president Paul Larche. “It will allow us to better compete and consolidate our efforts in central Ontario, where we already own CICZ FM Midland.” The deal is subject to approval from the CRTC.
