The Toronto-based Corso Italia Business Improvement Association has begun a new promotional campaign in that city intended to attract consumers to the retail district, located between Dufferin and Calendonia Roads on Saint Clair Avenue West. The initiative, which is based on the Italian phrase meaning “Those who know,” consists of street banners and flower displays, festivals, a new logo and a new website. “We are launching this campaign to draw attention to the authentic charm and experience that is our community,” said Connie Lamanna, chairperson of the association. “Customers still connect daily with retailers, who work with pride and passion in the stores they own and operate. For those who know, Corso Italia is where Torontonians come to celebrate and share in all things Italian.” The association represents approximately 250 local business owners and community members in the Saint Clair West area.
