Square One breaks spring campaign

Mississauga-based shopping centre Square One has begun a new advertising campaign to promote its recent renovations. The campaign, developed by Brees Communications of Toronto, includes outdoor, television and print advertising. The creative, which is intended to attract shoppers from downtown Toronto, focuses on the mall’s variety of stores and restaurants as well as its free parking and relative proximity to the downtown core. “Seeing a Square One mural on King Street will tell consumers something different is going on there,” said agency president Liz Falconer. The campaign uses the tagline, “Be the one.” Television advertising is running exclusively on CityTV. The commercial also promotes an online contest during which consumers can enter a draw for a $10,000 shopping spree with a personal stylist.
