Microsoft readies Minecraft installation

Microsoft is preparing an experiential promotion for video game Minecraft called “Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue.” The promotion will take the form of an installation at the Square One shopping mall in Mississauga, ON beginning June 20. Developed by Supply & Demand of Montreal in collaboration with production company Experience MOD and game developer Mojang Studios, the installation incorporates a series of Minecraft-themed activities, including a scavenger hunt and a zombie attack.
“After successful launches that have entertained tens of thousands of people in Dallas, TX and most recently London, England, we're excited to bring our first-ever immersive touring experience to Canada,” said Kayleen Walters, head of franchise development at Mojang Studios. “Finding ways to invite newcomers to our community and to enable fans to express their love for Minecraft both in-game and out is always top of mind for us, and we can't wait for Canadians to step into the Minecraft world.”
