Royal Canadian Golf Association readies television campaign

The Royal Canadian Golf Association will begin a television advertising campaign this weekend to promote its Skins loyalty program. The campaign will consist of 30-second commercials during the broadcasts of eleven PGA Tour events on CH and Global. The aim of the initiative is to sell Skins memberships and to raise awareness of the RCGA brand. “Television advertising, particularly during renowned televised golf events, sends the message to golfers and our partners that we are committed to realizing this vehicle's potential to increase the rounds of golf played in Canada,” said Peter Palmer, managing director of the association. The commercial was created by CanWest. Media planning and buying for the campaign were handled by Media Experts of Toronto.
