Chill Media buys Relevant Communications

Chill Media, based in Oakville, ON, has acquired Relevant Communications, publisher of Golf Canada magazine, the official publication of the Royal Canadian Golf Association. No financial details are available. Chill was previously the publisher of the association's souvenir programs for the Canadian Open. "The acquisition of Relevant by Chill is great news for the RCGA and for Golf Canada magazine," said Scott Simmons, CEO of the association. "The move allows us to streamline our publications process and strengthen the Golf Canada brand while maintaining the strong working relationship we enjoy with two trusted partners." Scott Stevenson and Scott Robinson of Chill will become co-publishers of Golf Canada. Former publisher Tim Goodman will remain on the staff in an unspecified capacity. Alison King will remain editor of the magazine. Former associate publisher Eric Marshall will become national promotions manager at Chill.
