Yahoo Canada has signed a long-term sponsorship agreement with the Canadian Soccer Association. Under the agreement, Yahoo Canada will become the official online sponsor and national team sponsor of the association, as well as the presenting sponsor for the Men's National Under-20 team and the Tide Mini Soccer program, a development program aimed at children aged five to 10. The company has also constructed a website for the association at <http://www.thekick.ca> that is intended to serve as an online community for soccer players, parents and fans. “Soccer is the number one participatory sport in Canada and this association fits perfectly with our mission of connecting people to their passions and their communities with the proper tools and technology,” said Kerry Munro, general manager of Yahoo Canada.
