Lise Watier readies joint promotion with CBC

Cosmetics company Lise Watier has formed a year-long agreement with CBC Television by which its products will be integrated into a new program called “Rumours.” The half-hour program, a comedy set in the office of a gossip magazine, will debut on Oct. 9. Other joint promotion will include contests and in-store signs. In addition, actors from the show will participate in autograph sessions at Lise Watier retail counters in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. “These opportunities are few and far between in the Canadian television landscape and are even better when they offer brand extension,” said Lyse L'Ecuyer, project manager at Lise Watier. “Of course, it is natural and organic to see our products featured in a real women's magazine so why not in a fictional women's magazine in a real television series?”
