Hocking, Dunlop join Y&R Canada

Y&R Canada has appointed Robert Hocking to the position of senior vice-president and managing director of Y&R Calgary. When he will takes on the job on Oct. 16, he will lead new business development and be the senior client contact on all accounts except those relating to Ford. Hocking was most recently vice-president of strategic planning at 141 Worldwide, a division of Ogilvy & Mather. Prior to that, he was president of Ottawa-based The Alloy Group. Catharine Dunlop has joined Y&R Toronto in the newly-created position of creative channel director. She will work to help the agency’s creative directors participate in contact strategies intended to reach out to consumers. Dunlop was previously at PHD Canada, where she was the Unilever account manager.
