Specialty channel World Fishing Network has signed-on as the official television and media sponsor of the Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Restoration program. This conservation effort is a joint venture of Banrock Station Wines, the LCBO, the Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. The goal of the five-year program is to re-stock Lake Ontario with Atlantic salmon, declared extirpated from the lake over 100 years ago. “As the nation’s first and only 24/7 fishing network, we’re eager to communicate the great work being done by the OFAH in the restoration of Lake Ontario’s Atlantic salmon,” said Chris Doyle, vice-president of marketing at WFN.
