Canada Place introduces new visual identity

Identica Branding and Design of Vancouver has created a new logo and visual identity for Canada Place, also located in Vancouver. The assignment was to develop a single, recognizable identity for the venue that would support all the components of its business, including the Pan Pacific hotel and the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. The logo uses the images of sail and the maple leaf, along with the colours blue, green and gold. The identity includes the tagline, “Inspirationally Canadian.” “We’re building on our legacy to help re-establish Canada Place as a uniquely Canadian destination in Vancouver,” said Robyn McVicker, the company’s manager of communications and public affairs. “It’s been too long that we’ve been flying below the radar so we’re hoping people recognize the new identity as part of a reinvigorated brand and a new organizational direction.”
