APTN hires Identica, Loopmedia for rebranding initiative

Aboriginal People's Television Network has hired Identica Branding and Design of Vancouver and Loopmedia of Toronto to develop a brand strategy and new visual style for the broadcaster. "We felt there was a need to redevelop the APTN brand from the ground up," said Sky Bridges, director of marketing at APTN. "Our goal was to start fresh, with a solid strategic platform that creates the right resonance with the audience, active buy-in from stakeholders and staff, and provides for a consistent application of the brand across multiple creative executions and media." The two firms won the assignment in a competitive request-for-proposal process involving an unknown number of agencies. APTN plans to introduce its new look and feel in early 2009.
