Lotus Awards break out-of-home campaign

The Lotus Awards has begun a campaign aimed at advertising agencies, design firms and interactive companies intended to remind potential entrants of the event’s entry deadline. The campaign consists of stenciled messages on walls and sidewalks, provided by Vision Media of Vancouver. In addition, a promotional worker dressed as a ninja will visit local ad agencies next week to distribute information about the awards. This element is being handled by Smak. Online and email advertising will also be used. “We needed to communicate with our target audience quickly and effectively, but we also wanted to do it in a manner that somehow reflected the creativity that the Lotus Awards is all about,” said Viktoriia Roudnitskaia, co-chair of this year’s awards. The Lotus Awards recognize advertising and design in British Columbia. The entry deadline is Aug. 14. The show will take place on Nov. 15 in Vancouver.
