Astral, Corus to buy Teletoon stake from Cookie Jar

Astral Media of Montreal and Corus Entertainment of Toronto have reached an agreement to acquire from The Cookie Jar Group its 20% share of the Teletoon specialty channel for approximately $96 million. Astral and Corus will each receive an additional 10% stake in the channel, making their joint ownership and even 50-50 split. The agreement is subject to CRTC approval.
