Outcrop Communications wins National Marketing Campaign assignment

Outcrop Communications of Whitehorse, YT has been appointed agency of record by the National Marketing Campaign, a $5 million partnership between the three territorial governments and the Government of Canada. Fifteen companies responded to a request for proposals issued in early May. Outcrop pitched for the account in association with McDonnell Haynes of Toronto. The agencies will develop a multi-media campaign in support of the 2007 Canada Winter Games that will run from the fall of 2006 to the spring of 2007. “The Outcrop McDonnell Haynes partnership was chosen for its strong northern knowledge and experience as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven track record in key target markets across Canada,” said Piers McDonald, president of the Canada Games Host Society. “We also have a clear mandate for the agency chosen to help create a legacy for the North through skills training and use of Northern contractors and products.” Outcrop also has offices in Yellowknife and Iqaluit.
