Moosehead Breweries moves Moose Light, Alpine accounts

Moosehead Breweries of Saint John, NB has sent the marketing account for its Moose Light brand to Leo Burnett Toronto. Leo Burnett has handled advertising for the company’s Moosehead Lager brand since September 2005. “Based on the strength of Leo Burnett’s ability to create a meaningful brand idea for Moosehead Lager and translate that idea across all consumer contact points, we chose to give them our Moose Light business as well,” said Jim Eagles, vice-president of marketing at Moosehead. In addition, Moosehead has assigned the advertising account for its Alpine brand of beer to Extreme Group of Halifax. “Extreme Group has done incredible work for Moosehead and many other clients, and now we want them to do the same for Alpine, our much-cherished brand,” said Eagles. Both of these accounts were previously held by Goodgoll Vendramin of Toronto.
